Discharge and cramps [TMI]

So I've been having painful cramping in my lower back, lower stomach, hips and down the insides of my thighs for the past two days since I had an internal exam. I was kind of ignoring it before because I figured it was because she was stretching out my cervix and stuff. But it hasn't gone away even though its not constant, it kinda comes and goes [but its not contractions because I've been having those too], its bad enough its keeping me awake at night. Plus I've been having TONS more discharge then normal, it seems like its never ending!!! I've been losing my plug too but the discharge is like a thick tan or light brown color. I guess I'm just concerned there could be something wrong. Anyone else had this?

not me, but in what to expect when you are expecting it says that the brown stuff means labor is just right around the corner 

That's what I'm hoping. My midwife said I was 3 cm and 80% effaced and she thinks it'll be this weekend. I was just worried that maybe I had an infection or something.

nah probably just pre labor you could call and tell them just in case though

Sounds like the brown discharge they talked to me about at my OB's. They said that labor could be hours to days away, but it will happen sooner rather than later.

I certainly hope it's soon, I've had two times now that I had really strong contractions that were consistently 4-5 minutes apart and a minute long but both times they eventually just kinda petered out. The second time the contractions were going on for over five hours. I'm so ready for it to be the actual thing.
