re: Went to L&D earlier

I was like that for about a month before I had my second baby. Kept going to the hospital cause I thought this was it ya know. Well when I really went into labor, one day past my due date my hubby didnt take me seriously. We got to the hospital at 8 am, I was 6 cm dilated and I had her at 8:34 am.

just a word of advice...
i would let your babies wear the little gowns they give you just until you get a hang of the whole feeding thing. especially if you bottle feed. you never know if they will spit up or not. or if you would rather them wear onesies then bring more than one. my little girl spit up a lot the first few times we fed her. thank god we had her in the gowns because we only brought one outfit for her to go home in.

and i would pack a nightgown or twoin addition to the shorts and shirts just in case you have to have a c-section. i had to have one and there is no way i could have put on shorts. but be prepared for the nightgowns to get a little blood on them.

I think i'll opt to let Xoe wear their gowns as much as possible since they do have to run test, and i'm sure it's more convienent for the nurses to have them in gowns.

I don't have any night gowns at all  Maybe I should buy some.. lol

haha yeah i wore the hospital gowns the first night i was there and i got blood all over it. i was there for 3 nights thanks to my c section so i wore my gowns the next couple of nights i was there. they put pads on the bed for the bleeding so pulling your gown up while you sleep helps to keepthe blood off of your gowns if you don't want to mess them up. Oh and I would highly suggest getting a robe to wear over your gowns because of people coming in and out of your room.

try having contractions all day basically home alone cuz called off of work and everyone was stuck at work lol an having contractions off the charts lol 1 min they are 3 min apart next they are gone lol got to the hospital late 2 hours later i lost my bloody show and a few seconds later my water broke

side note** did u know only 15% of pregnant woman water breaks on its own and the rest have to have it broken lol

Nope but i keep havin contractions and feelin like I got run over by a bus. So I did some research online and I believe im havin what they call a prodromal labor or however u spell it. It happens mostly in first time mamas and mamas with big babys. You can be in "labor" dialating froma 1-4 anywhere from a few days to a week then your true labor will kick in and youll have a quick one. But you have to go through all the crap before you have your lil one.

awww im sorry!!!! well i hope u have the baby soon!!! maybe some "sexy time" will help? my dr thought my daughter was gonna come late so i was trying everything i could think of that would help after begging my SO for days 12 hrs after sexy time i went into labor!! yayyy!!! you might also try a massage!! alot of massage thereapists who specialize in prenatal massage can do specific pressure points to help you go into labor. if u cant get a massage have you so give u one. i know one pressure point is that spot on ur hand between ur thumb and pointer you have to massage it really hard and theres another spot on ur ankle but i dont remember excatly where it is?? well good luck and labor dust to you!!!

Its alright at least I know hes comming soon im tryin to stay positive and I tried sexy timethe other day and my contractions just sopped im like oh hell no! N more for me lol plus it hurt ause my pelvis is so sore. But thank you and ill keep you updated!  

i was in labor for 42 hours... so... It all depends on ur baby and what ur body does! good luck!

I went to the doc today and he estimates the baby weights 8 almost 9 pounds rite now and if I go to my due date hell be even bigger lol. But he decided not to check me cause he said it didnt matter where I was at cause I could go into labor at anytime. I could be closed again and go into labor tonight or be at a 4 and go for three more weeks. Im kinda glad he didnt cause I finally accepted hes commin on his terms and ive been feelin better
