I'm in the same boat. I don't need anything for my little one, except diapers. It's hard to resist the urge to buy, though. Babies are so fun to shop for! There is nothing wrong with buying stuff for you baby, but you may want to slow down until after your shower... then you can get whatever you still need. Right now I'm only allowing myself to buy decor for the nursery.

Have a diaper shower.

Just get clother, bigger sizes, and diapers.

And $$.

Nope darlin your fine buying things. But I kept telling myself don't buy anything HUGE until your shower.

If I felt the need to buy things I'd always buy items like baby wash, baby shampoo, baby lotion, baby bubble bath if you prefer, wipes, diapers, desitin, mylicon, gripe water, nursing pads, a pack of pads. I bought these items while pregnant and and still not having to buy them and my daughter just turned three months today. It's so nice not having to worry about running out and having to dash to the store. But that's just me, I like to have things stocked up lol.

i would stop buying until after the shower bc people r going to want to get u stuff and if u already have everything then they wont know whta eles to get u. but i think a breast pump is ur deal to get. and if u feel money is an issue. start a jar or something and lable it baby supply or something. the stuff u would normaly buy put up the money n the jat and saveit from week to week so ur not stressing at the end and if u feel like u need more after the shower then u simply pull out the jar and buy what u need and it is just as equal as u buying everything as u go.

i waited until my baby shower was over to get things. i got pretty much everything i needed/wanted anyway but if you go buy too much now you might end up doubling up on heaps of stuff... sometimes thats ok but you dont want heaps of the same thing.

a couple of things i didnt get was cot sheets and baby towels. i had to buy a few of them myself.

dont forget the things for you like nursing pads, nipple cream etc

And as far as diapers, I personally wouldn't buy any more newborn diapers. Carleigh was only in them for a week. And then in size one for till she was about 5 weeks or so. She's got some thunder thighs lol. But just buy one or two in size one and then move up.

If you get an urge that you want to save for the baby... do what my SO & I did. Take all you change and just throw it in a box (we used a big cigar box) From the moment I found out I was pregnant we did this. Even till this day we do. But after my shower I took that money and got what we needed/wanted and still had about 300 left over. So we just stuck that into a fund for her. Whatever it may be next carseat or whatever.

I didn't rely on my babyshower to get anything. I got everything that Gavin needed first and foremost.. and then I bought stuff that wasn't necessarily needed right off the bat. Whatever duplicates you get from the shower, just return it (if it's at walmart or whatever, then get it on a gift card so you can buy diapers later on).

No your not wrong my SIL said she was going to throw me a baby shower and im 36 weeks preggo and she never did and at the very beginging my mom and dad told me not to rely on anyone or wait on anyone so we started getting all her things and now were done with 4 weeks left so i think its actually smart to start early then it is to wait and see if you do get a baby shower.
