re: is she underweight??

posted 3rd Jul
its not like i give her all of this at 1 time. it was spread out. i just started her on stage 2 like a week ago, and actually there really isnt any sugar in the foods i get. i tld my pedi that she gets cereal in her bottle and her baby food and i got the ok. i admit she asked me why, and i told her its because she never seems full w/o it. i might be giving her a lil much, but shes doing perfectly fine with it. no allergic reactions...shes perfectly fine. im just concerned about her weight

wow! all those foods are SO bad for her at such a young age!!

she doesnt need to be eating food just coz she is small. my daughter doesnt weigh much and i dont over do it with food coz she is obviously just going to be a small baby. i feed her the normal amount twice a day... thats all thats needed

How much formula does she eat per day?

All the other crap you're giving her is probably causing her not to gain. Not to mention the issues with diabetes and obesity later in life.

That is the most mature answer on here.

Do you at least give her infant juice? Not the adult stuff. and at least water it down (not that she needs juice or water at this age)

you need to cut out the extras and just have her on formula and get her weight up. she doesnt NEED juice and what not. she NEEDS formula or breastmilk. make sure she consumes enough of either one. until a year, solids are only meant to COMPLIMENT milk, NOT take away a milk feeding.

My doctor told me it's okay to start my son out on rice cereal & some fruits at 4 months & now that he's closer to 6 months, to start some veggies. So just listen to your pedi for advice on the whole feeding thing.

Also, I feel like my son is a total fatty now. He was 15lbs 7oz at his 4 month, ha.
