Quoting Cooper♥Mara:“ I found a bunch of Crib Sets that I like and are cute. I'm having a really hard time figuring out what ... [snip!] ... comes in the sets? All the websites and stores I see don't sell any of the blankets separately and I'm just bugging.

I would never spend that much on a blanket set. Tbo, I never used the comforter that came w/ the ones I had, I just hung them on the wall b/c they are bulky and idk, just weird. I would just buy pretty sheets and soft blankets or buy a cheap set at Wal-mart, that is where I bought mine, and they have cute ones too.

i bought the whole set. but i was lucky and when we went to go buy the one i had picked, it was on clearance! we use the sleep positioner, so she doesnt roll into the bumpers yet. (when she gets that size, we will take them down). ours didnt come with a comforter, but my mom made me one.

I think you can get the blankets from the set at Target or Burlington Coat Factory. I personally bought one complete set and have about 5 other (cheaper) crib sheets with matching colors or similar theme and I liked it. I also keep the bumper on, I just watch my baby that he doesn't pull it or snuggle too close.

I've found the bumpers to be really nice. Kale has slammed his head on the side so many times that if I didn't have bumpers up he probably would have hurt himself pretty bad. I got plain crib sheets at my baby shower, and I got my crib set from Wal-mart (maybe $50), it's baby looney toons, which is pretty gender neutral so I'll be able to use it for the next baby too.

I never wanted a crib set because the bumpers are a safety hazard. There are tons of places though that sell comforters that match sheets and even decorations. WalMart, Kmart, and my fave, Target. Toys R Us used to, not sure if they still do.

I just saw this thread, but thought I would say that for us, the bumpers have been a broken arm and leg life saver. Kailee never rolled into them or snuggled against them. She is 15 months and still has them in her crib, we moved her into the crib at 4.5 months.

I took it off one time to wash her bedding set and she needed to nap, so I just put an extra sheet on and put her down. Only to run up to her screaming bloody murder that her arm and leg were stuck in the crib slats. I have never put her down without the bumper again. I am so happy he didnt try to move.
