I would get some cd's with kids music or something he likes and play that, get some new books maybe some with Gabba characters.. print some pictures of the characters he likes for him to look at, but the more they watch the more they feel the need to watch... maybe put a blaket over the tv and just say No or it's broken...


It's SO hard when it's a DVD because the episodes run together and they KNOW there is more.. But it would be easier to break the habit now...

If you let him I'd limit him to one episode or one hour a day.. when you really really need a break (make it the same time so he can start to understnad when he can have it and that's the only time he can have it...

well then stfu its my kid and i know my city its not like im driving and feeding or on the highway i only do it on residential streets or empty streets on long trips i know my child is a bit safer in the carseat (carseats dont save lifes anyway they prevent major injuries but their not to save lifes) but he needs to eat and i will feed when he wants

I don't even know how he got to be so dependent on it. I only let him watch it in the morning and then one day we went out somewhere and he was screaming for lunch so I needed a second to make it and I put it on and since then he wants it playing all darn day. Yes tomorrow will be a scream filled day lol. Thanks.

We barley ever let Jamil watch tv, but when I do put it on now it's a struggle to turn it off, unless we transition to a very fun activity, and we have a dvd in the car and usually it's fine, but sometiems he freaks when we have to get out... . it's also a struggle to get him off the Ipod Touch, he knows how to use every single ap on that ting and can turn it on and find what he wants.. If he's well rested and in a big mood it's not as much of a problem, but like today he had no nap and had to get shots, and I swear it felt like he was playing it more than he wasn't playing it... bleh...

Wow...he's so smart! Nathan can go on the computer and pause/play the gabba episodes. It's not that hard to learn though lol. I try not to let him watch tv but he's so incredibly attached to me and I just don't get any time to myself. He's always climbing on me and things like that and it's going to be worse when the baby gets here. He won't let me do ANYTHING and I am becoming exhausted. It's like he's a newborn all over again. The only time I can do anything is when he's asleep at night and then I don't go to bed till 3 and I wake up at 8.
