Passed bedtime Playtime

If your LO is up past their bedtime and just will NOT go to sleep (like 2 hours of fussing and whining and rocking and singing and bottles and diaper changes etc.) do you play with them or let them play independently? She's obviously REALLY tired and is falling all over the place, I swear she has 3 bruises just from walking around sleepy but she absolutely will not go to sleep. Would you play with your little one if they were like this or would you think that makes it seem like playtime and they'll never go to sleep or do you just give in?

Sorry if this makes no sense, I've had hardly any sleep and I'm tired and frustrated and have a headache.

LoL. First dont give her rum. I hope you were kidding. My mom alway has told me not to play with my LO when she is like that. My mom has had six kids and a single mother so I always listened to her and it works.

Does she likes to play in her play pin{if she has one}? If so I would put her in there and let her play away and I will get my sleep that way. Then wake up every now and then and check on her or you can baby proof a room that has all her baby safety toys in there and put a baby gate and let her play the night away. When she get sleepy you'll know.{ That only works if the baby is up on age and you have a baby monitor.} I did it and around 2:30am every morning she asleep on top of her bouncer. Girl and she was 11and half months. How I got my sleep I was on the sofa while she been in the baby proof room.{LOL} thats what her daddy calls it and then shortly after hearing him say it she calls it the baby proof room til day.

I put some toys in her crib and I'm letting her play by herself now that she's FINALLY not screaming for me.... nvm I jinxed it. Ha We'll see if she can just fall asleep on her own this way and then I'll sneak in and take the toys out.

No she was but it's a mess right now and when she was trying to walk she was so tired she kept falling down on everything! So she's in her room in her pack n play. I'm thinking about driving to Ikea in Fresco to get the crib we want because this whole not having a real crib thing is making me feel like the worst mom ever. * we had a simplicity crib that got recalled*

oh and I didn't mean to ignore the Devin part. We're good. Not together but friends and talking on the phone, he comes and visits Skyler, I sent him a message tonight saying something like we needed to figure stuff out together how paying for daycare, not relying on our parents for anything for skyler or for him to see her, etc. is going to work. So, yeah : /

my daughter has been sleeping in her pack and play since she turned 1.

we have a crib but have moved twice and never put it back up LOL. dont feel like a bad mom!
