Loosing the belly after a c-section.

posted 3rd Jul
It's been nearly 3 months since I had little Mikie. I gained 33 lbs throughout the pregnancy, and have lost it all. In fact, I lost all 33 within the week after having him, so that was nice at least.
But I still wanna lose more, especially my belly. It's so jiggly, it looks like a bowl of pudding is underneath my shirt.
But I had a c-section, and my stomach muscles STILL hurt me. I still can't get up off the couch or bed without pushing myself up. I dunno how long that lasts, but it sucks because I used to do sit-ups all the time before baby and now I can't.
So is there anything you c-section mommas did to loose your belly? I'm walking and eating healthy, but I need SOMETHING to tone up my belly.
Thanks!

My stomach is the same way. I'm 7 weeks PP and still have 20 lbs to lose...BUT I gained 50 lbs when I was pregnant. I would love some tips on how to get a flatter tummy. (I had a c section May 15)

Was it an emergency c-section? I am almost 3 months pp also, but I feel really good, I healed really fast I guess. Have you tried doing isometrics, you lay on the floor like you are going to do sit-ups, but you start by just breathing in and really expanding your lungs so your tummy rises, then as you exhale you pull your belly button to the floor, after feeling comfortable doing that you can add lifting your head while you are exhaling, that might help you, gl.

Yeah, it was an emergency c-section. Well, not EMERGENCY, emergency. I tried pushing for 2 1/2 hours and he wasn't even CLOSE to descending and my water had been broken for nearly 24 hours at that point, so we did the section.
That's a good idea though, I've never heard of that. Thanks, I'll try it!

I heard it is worse recuperating from an emergency, mine was planned so it is a bikini line cut where as emergency c-sections can be lengthwise, because they are more worried about just cutting and getting the baby out, like if the heart rate is dropping.

Her heart rate was already down. .I was at the hospital for 27 minutes and she was born. No joke. Worst experience of my life, hands down.

ETA : Recovery was a bitch !

I learned it at a pre-natal workout class I took, you can do it pregnant also to try and keep your muscles in good shape.

Wow, that was fast, my friend had an emergency also, she said it was really scary, and it def. took a while for her to heal.

Mine was a bikini cut too, so I dunno why I seem to be healing so much slower than everyone else.
