I lived in the worst part of Guatemala City (well, one of the worst parts). Ask your mom about Villa Nueva!   It's "Gangster town"!

Now I live in Quetzaltenango, moved here because of my daughter. It's nice here!  

ya i went there! we were on the bus and this guy stole everyones stuff. it was pretty scary.its crazy how like nobody is on the streets once it gets dark. i dont know where thats at but next time i go i really wanna go to rio dulce. i heard its beautiful!

I've been robbed more times than I can count.. you get used to it believe it or not. It's not scary anymore, I even ask the theif if I can have bus money back!

I knew a girl who was help at gun point and asked the guy for her change back to go home...
I would have passed out. I've been robbed about 3 time and I am paranoid right now

lmao- I've been robbed with a gun 3 times, a knife 9 times and several times just getting pick pocketed or whatever. Once a guy showed me his gun and told me to hand over my purse. I rolled my eyes and handed over everything... "You know, I need my passport and I have some paperwork in there for work... can I have it back" he handed me those things... "Can I have some bus money?" handed me Q20, I even asked for my purse back and he laughed at me

Over here is crazy. My cousin got robbed buying the morning bread!!! Since all he had was the bread he got stabbed. He LAUGHED at you? LOL

Yeah, he laughed at me... I knew he wasn't going to give me back my purse... It was kind of a joke since he was nice enough to give me back alot of my stuff.

I knew this guy that was a "pinta" and we were sitting in the park and all of the sudden 3 cops grabbed him and arrested him and I was like WTF?!?!?! I later found out he robs everyone. I was like ok im never sitting with him again!

LMAO that's never happened to me before... I dated a few gangsters (but they were from LA and were deported to Guatemala) but I always knew they were assholes!
