blocking

When you block someone from contacting you, do they know that they are blocked?

i know on myspace the only way to tell is if you write an email it wont show up in your sent messages so that means you're blocked

nick and i were just arguing about it.

he doesn't want to take the time to give it special moderation functionality... b/c he's in the middle of a pre-existing project (the pregnancy sponsorship stuff).

i don't want to risk putting it up w/out special tools... b/c it is a very sensitive spot to be playing around.

we talked about having an invite-only forum... thus far that's sort of the best idea in terms of compromising between the added workload on nick and getting it up sooner than later.

yeah, i'm pressing for it-- but i don't want it to be open and free like the rest of baby-gaga-- it needs to be protected.

and i can't be the only one protecting it... so it needs to be tweaked to ensure that it doesn't get jacked up in the process.

i'm very aware of how important this forum is... there are a LOT of women on here who could use a place like this.

what i DONT like about blocking someone, is that they can still see what you write, but you just cant see what they write. i think it should be the other way around, personally.
