i've never had any problems with leaking. i make all mine myself with just the right amount of absorbancy for my son.
we stopped using them recently only because i made a bunch of one sizes and they are now too small for my son. i need to whip out my sewing machine and make more and then he'll be cloth diapered again.
i didn't find them any less convenient than disposables except that i did an extra load of laundry every couple days. no biggy. the smell wasn't ever any different to me either.

way easier than you would think, way cuter than disposables, way better for the environment..love 'em don't know why I waited till 3rd child to try them. Sure, they will leak at times, disposables leak worse for me than cloth. easy to clean especially w/ washer, I'll probably use them till he potty trains..

ditto yo yhe worse leaking with disposables than cloth. i don't think i've ever had to change an entire outfit soaked with poop like i did when we were using disposables when my son was really little.

Im wondering the same thing. I'd like to try them this time around but I'm scared about the mess and all. Do you have to soak them before you wash them?

babies that are given only breastmilk you don't have to do anything with the diapers special. it just washes out.

when babies get on solids you just dump the poop in the toilet and flush it you can buy attachments for your toilet that rins off the poop into the toilet. super easy.

what about out in public when theyre old enough for solids?just put it all in the bag w.out dumping?(i mean if theres no toilet around or something like that)...

ya, i just carry it in the wetbag and deal with it when i get home. it actually is easier to dump out into the toilet sometimes if it's a wetter poo. it has the ability to ge a litle more solid before trying to dump it. lol. i don't like public bathrooms, so i avoid putting my cd's anywhere near public toilets.

I am def going to consider it. I think it might just be a bit too much work for me though.

i just want to say good for anybody who does use them!! i can't,it would drive me mad, dd still wakes up every hour or two (most of the time, not all) and she is 19 months old! Probably just a light sleeper. I wouldn't have time to do all the laundry.
