WIC question

posted 2nd Jul
So, I've heard that some women can't be on WIC because they live with their parents even if they pay rent and utilities and such.
I was wondering if this is true?
I'm on WIC right now, but my hubby and I are moving in with my mom and brother in August. We'll be paying rent and all that, and we'll have to pay for everything for the baby.
Will I be able to stay on WIC or do they want me to include my mom's income even if she's not supporting me?

I wouldn't think you'd have to report it??

I mean it'd be the same as having a roommate right?

A friend of mine and her bf lived with his dad and sister and they still received WIC.

You just have to sign a statement as well as get one from your parents stating that you do pay bills and are not dependent on their income. You can still get it.

im pretty sure you have to legally include everyone income who lives in the household.

Ummm must vary state to state cuz my sis in law got wic through my dads income with my niece and this time they pay rent so they get it on my bros income.

I worked for WIC,
You will need a letter from your mother stating what you pay for and that your food is separate. and Yes you will have to let them know you moved, if you do not you can be terminated.
