re: teens breastfeeding.

Im a teen and I happen to find birth, breastfeeding and everything that goes along with it very UNwierd

Breastfeeding is the best thing for a baby!! Be a PROUD breastfeeding teen mom! I breastfeed but had to pump the entire time because my son wouldnt latch on.. it was worth getting up every 4 hours to pump and give him the healthy milk that will make him strong!!

With me everyone in my family wanted me to do it, and now that ive been BF for 4 months they think i've been doing it for too long and i should stop now

I haven't decided how long im going to do it for but i am definitely going to.

let me tell you guys: i can't say how happy i am to hear that you're all willing to do breastfeed your little babies. it really is the best food you could give them! (so long as you're not doing drugs or getting drunk).

yeah my son will not take a bottle or a binky =/
i kinda wish he would because everytime he wants to go to sleep its like i have to go lay with him and BF him until he goes to sleep. sometimes i wish i could put a binky in his mouth. or sometimes when im at work my BD will try and feed him with a bottle and he wont take it. its kindof frustrating. but i do still love BFing. it really has created an amazing bond

all my friends think im crazy bu tI have great support from ALL my family

it does however get very hard sometimes and I get angry because i feel like imtrying to do whats best for my baby and i fell like i get the short end of the stick because its momma who has to get up every hour and feed her for an hour and its momma who has to go through the embarssing momments of public leakage but i accept it.
and I know shes happy and healthy

i'm 30 and had to deal w/ that as well, it's not fun-- but it came fairly natural to me-- to wake up (i still do) and deal w/ all that.

good for you for having the endurance and willingness to sacrifice a little comfort and sleep for you child!
