I was just wondering why the doctors did not make you wait a while before your next pregnancy. I read that the longer that you wait before your next pregnancy the less likely you will have another preemie. It must also depend on the reason why the last one was born premature. I am just wondering because I am scared to death of reliving the NICU with the next one.

Honestly the way my doctor explained everything to me, like with my strained and damaged cervix is that it didn't matter how long I waited we are still going to have a preemie baby.. Not necessarily as preemie as Lydia but I will never be able to carry a baby to term. So it really didn't matter how long I waited. Oh well.
