do i really have to be on my period../..?

my question is do i really have to be on my period to start my birth control? i decided to stop ttc, and af was due the 28 but still no sign of it.. all my test are negative so im pretty sure im not pregnant. i want to start my BC already ., what the difference if i take it now then if i take it when af shows up?

Nah you can start now. I never wait for my period because I don't know when I will have it next. It could be months.
