What kind of batteries does it take you need a screwdriver too?

Because infants under 6 months old should never be left to cry it out. Research.

There is a difference between comforting a crying baby until they fall asleep and leaving a small child alone screaming until they pass out.

Quoting Teagan's Mommy:“ At 5 weeks? no way!”

I agree. Five weeks is way too little for CIO.

She's not screaming herself to sleep.
It's light crying basically wining.
and nothing else works, my doctor said it was fine.

There are tons of brands with lavender in it.
Johnsons, Huggies, the various organic brands, etc....

it can be mentally damaging.
at 5 weeks, theyre still used to the warmth and tight comfort of their mothers. if theyre crying so much that young, and theyre not tired, hungry, wet, etc. then theyre just not comfortable and need to cuddled.

OP, this si what i would always do when my girl was having rough times. i would bicycle her legs, warm bath, clean jammies, swaddle her, bottle[or breast] if she was hungry, and walk around the house humming in her ear.
but i would definitely swaddle him!!! works like a charm.

Right?! I just read that this morning on a list of companies that test on animals.

Dr. Bronner's makes a organic fair trade lavender scented soap, but I just stick with unscented baby on Pearly right now.

A warm bath or taking a warm bath with mommy.
A bouncer.
Mommy holding baby while bouncing on a balance/yoga ball.

5 weeks is way to young to allow her to cry.
Try to avoid that situation by providing an environment for her to sleep every 2 hours. If people want to visit her while awake, tough crap on them

Most, if not all, baby things that have batteries require a screwdriver so that the batteries dont pop out and become a choking hazzard. Pain in the butt but it makes sense.
