I was kinda thinking something similar. If I am not supplying enough for the girls I don't know how I could for the new baby (which the dr suspects is another set of twins. YIKES). That and It was hard enough nursing them all day. I can't imagine them and another baby nursing all at the same time. I really wanted them weaned at 1 but I was not able to get it accomplished. I am just going to have to work harder at it now!

They are speculating based on the rapid increase of my HCG levels. They are outta hand. they are supposed to double every other day. Mine are going at every day. We are waiting until tuesday to determine if it was a lab error or not. I am still too early to see anything on U/S. lol Secretly I wouldnt mind another set. My hubby says NO. So I told him that he should have stayed on his side of the bed then. lol

That happened to my friend recently, so drastically that they were thinking more than two even, and she ended up just having one. They have no idea what made her levels rise so quickly. So, there's some hope for your hubby

well thats concerning for me. From what I have heard most kids end up weaning before the new baby is born because the taste of the milk changes. So we Ill just have to see what happens I guess and see what the doc says.

I didn't mean to discourage you. I'm just a "science" person, so I look for all the info I can find about things before making my choices, so I did alot of research about it before I was forced to wean Shep anyway. Anyway I found that as long as they are weaned before the beginning of the third trimester it shouldn't be a problem. And some women seem to have no problem anyway, so who knows. I just know for me, my production starts off with a bang and slows way down, so I rely on that huge surge in the beginning to get my babies nice and fat.

Yeah my production was a lot better the first 9 months than it is now. It's probably that way for a lot of women after starting solids. I try to research things a lot too, but haven't done much on tandem feeding yet. Im just worried because Noah still nurses a lot and he freaks out if I try to skip a feeding if I am busy and trying to do something else. He like screams and pulls at my shirt. Im not really sure how to even begin trying to wean him....

Shep was the same way. I'm embarassed to admit I gave him bottles. That was the only way he'd go to sleep. For about a week I gave him a bottle of milk for night night, then I started dilluting it with water, until it was all water, and then he didn't want it anymore....Oh my gosh, he started sleeping through the night...He'd been waking to eat all night long all his life, it was so nice that he started sleeping, although by then I was already 5 months pregnant with twins so it's not like I could sleep.

I actually have heard a lot of women say that is how they weaned their kids. Noah just started sleeping through the night this past month and he still sometimes wakes up once or twice, so trust me I know what you mean about that! I guess I just hope he decides to wean himself if the taste of the milk changes. haha we will see I guess.

I got BFP my very first Menstral cycle after DS was born, I was BFP with twins. DS was 23 mts old when I got first AF) I miscarried at 14 weeks and have been TTC ever since- 4.5 mts). I am slowly weaning my almost 30mt old son now, and hoping this will make me ovulate sooner than the present CD21-23 and increase my chance of BFP. Anyone know if weaning wil lmake me more fertile and cause earlier O in my cycle?

I'm sorry for your loss...It sounds like you are not very fertile while bfing (judging by how long it took for your cycle to start up) so I'd say it would have to help...I don't know if it would change when you would O or not...Are you charting? I conceived the twins by observing my cervix with a speculum (sorry if thats tmi) it was very clear that I was GOING to ovulate that way, which I think is key, rather than knowing after the fact that you DID ovulate.

Hrmm that is interesting. Wheredo you buy the Speculum? I'd like to try that.
I am currently checking my cervical mucus daily for 6 mts , it has never been any more than watery, never stretchy or egg white CM. I am doing the NaPro method which recommends checking your CM on a piece of toliet tissue when you wipe, which has never worked for me. I always checked with my finger, but still never got more than watery, never stretchy in any way, so I assume I have a CM issue since I am mostly dry. I can't take any meds to help ovulate until I am done weaning Jordan- so I am working on that now. He'll be 2,5 end of July- that's my complete weaning goal. He has started sucking his fingers though ever since I have cut out his comfort night feedings. Will that cause his teeth to be crooked?
