I didnt say it was child abuse I said it hurt them and it is pointless no child needs there ears pierced and all I did was ask her to not do that to her poor baby which is my opinion. Also it is a public forum and all the headline said was earrings so I opened it and yes then felt compelled to state my opinion. I also dont care if people dont like it. It is my opinion not yours and if you didnt feel guilty about it it wouldnt piss you off.

Why should people feel guilty?? 99% of girls are going to ask to get them done anyway... why not save them remembering being in pain?

Just because they dont remember doesnt mean it still doesnt hurt them, I will agree to disagree with you! My daughter got hers done at 4 because she asked and she didnt cry and it didnt hurt her. For me waiting until they are older is what is best for me and what I am comfortable with.

Ok then disagree but don't ask someone not to get her daughters ears pierced because you don't think it's right.

i think that a piercing feels the same at any age.
i would just prefer to get my daughters ears done as a child so it
will be easier to clean and they will heal better because they wont
mess with them.

Thats why I waited until she was an old enough to know not to mess with them I would be afraid about them messing with them lets say when they are 18 months or so when they get older they could then choose to mess with them.

true but also when they are around 2 or 3 months they wouldnt even pay any attention to them.

i do see where you are coming from but i also agree with the rest on getting them done younger. I do know alot of people who choose to let their child make the decision on if they want them pierced or not... And that is completely fine.

but i do also think that getting them done at young age is fine too. & that would be my personal choice if i have a daughter.

Most states it 2 months It is deffintly a personal call. I am glad i am haven a boy cuz my ML was palnning on taking our daughter and we didnt agree i think they should get it done when they are like 9 or 10 so they can decide. plus my mom got my sisters done when she was 6 months and now they look funny she is 28 b/c her ears grew and they are way to high

Well do it whenever you want but don't say i'm "hurting my child on purpose"just because I got them done early on and you waited and your child didn't cry. You still did the same process, and it wouldn't be right for me to say you "purposefully hurt" your child just because she was older

Well if I have a girl I will probably get her ears pierced as soon as I can; my boyfriend has his ears pierced, but I think if we have a boy I will let him make that decision on his own.
A girl should be more girly as a child, plus they hurt more than boys do as they get older. I think it;s just easier and convienant to do it early.
