Lucy is a great name that I adore. It has a wonderful association with the show "I love Lucy" and is a Beatles' song. If it bothers you that bad, then name her Lucille with a nickname Lucy.

Tristan (spelled this way) is okay.

Tristan James
Tristan Michael
Tristan Wilbert
Tristan John
Tristan Oliver
Tristan Henry
Tristan Jude
Tristan Avery
Tristan Elliot

If I have a girl I will be naming her Charleigh Elaine. I already have a son named Trevor Anthony and what I like about his name is that Trevor is not common but is very "normal" I don't have a reference but I read somewhere once that little girls with unusual spelling or unique unusual names altogether have a high self esteem but boys with unusual spelling and unusual names have a higher chance of being suicidal or not as confident. So, I do think boy names should be a little safer but I think girls initially learn how to embrace being different. My name is Jessica and I absolutely hate how common it is. I cannot tell you how much I HATE HATE HATE my name.

N00b will be either Caroline or Amelia if it's a girl, Kelly if it's a boy. I know Kelly was a big girl trend from the 70s thru the 90s, but it's my maiden name and I think it's 100x more suited to boys, given that it was originally a boys' name anyway. If Cameron and Taylor can co-exist as unisex names, so can Kelly.

I have no desire to give my kids "unusual" names. My husband and I both have normal names, and our personalities are plenty weird enough to mkae up for it!

Our kids are Grace, Evelyn, Charlie, Eleanor and Sophie. Sophie is the only one we hear somewhat frequently (usually as a nickname for the fussier Sophia), despite all except Charlie being top 50-ish in Canada.

Kelly started off as a boy name.

How about Amelia Caroline? I think that would be stunning.

I LOVE Evelyn. Your kids' names are awesome.

Trevor Anthony is nice.

Thank you!

We thought about Amelia Caroline, but decided against it. It's too many syllables (we have a rather long, vowel-heavy surname) and we like more unusual middle names to counteract the classic first names, so we'll probably use a middle name from literature or something ^_^

We can literally not find a baby name that we like...We're having our third little girl, and had no problem choosing their names. And yet, this time, we cannot find anything that works...The only one that came close to making the cut was Judah, but then we found out that it's a boy's name...

You seem to like short names that end in E. Have you looked at similar names?

My name is Andrea, my mom wanted to call me Andi. Andi is a boys name, short for Andrew. But I never got picked on for having a boys nickname. No one else should either.

Great tips! We took our time and ended up with 5 really great names (we knew the sex so that helped of course), problem was we couldn't choose between them! We actually ended up putting them all into a hat and the we picked fit him perfectly!! It's funny because others I had in there and loved 3 years ago I'm now thanking god didn't make the final cut lol. Our name is unusual in Australia (more common in the US actually!) and I'm not gonna lie, I'll be a little annoyed when I come across it again because I haven't so far in 2 years!
