I like nicknames, but not as formal given names, ykwim? Example: Liz is a great nickname, but Elizabeth is more sophisticated and gives one more options in the nickname department, and it is a name that grows and can work at any stage of life.

"Can you blame people for not being able to pronounce or spell your daughter's name correctly? And why can't you name this baby Bianca?"

It is not that hard to say Cydnie If people could read then it would not be spelled or said wrong. And we didn't name her Bianca because my family in laws called it a strippers name and my husband got fed up with them making fun.

I also disagree complete my name is jordan and i never had any problems, except for maybe "michael jordan" but never any "manly comments" ( sorry for the grammer, broke my dominant hand this week lol)

I'm black, but holy smurf.   Those names are awful.

What about Darius Dominic? Keep in mind your baby will need to get a job, and an employer is more likely to hire Darius Dominic over Quin'Darrius.
