actually all of those names in my opion are crap so before you try and say that they will imply that the parent is educated remember that is just your opion which to most should not matter when naming their own child. i would actually pitty a child with one of those names.

also, not that i need to explain myself to you, but just so you know i am actually very educated i graduated high school at 17 took a year off and recently started college although going to school is not a hobby of mine i am going to become an anesthesiologist.

sad that your making a career out of school though i mean if your as educated as you claim and just continue to go to school its a waste sounds a little like my brother who is 31 and has been in college since he was 17 years old its horrible to use school as a cop out to not having to actually do something with yourself.

I'm sorry, but I have to say it. If you're so educated, then why can't you use proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization?

If your SO educated, then why can't you spell? Oh, yeah, it's called illiteracy.

Sorry to tell you deary, but it's proven fact that kids with made-up names and f'd up spellings get discriminated against when it comes to finding jobs. Who cares if you don't like Cecily or whatnot, I don't even remember what I posted. But at least I can feel satisfied with myself knowing that I have given my child something with class and sophistication and I haven't made myself look like an illiterate dipshit while striving for something unusual.

I'm not a career student, I'm just going for a degree that takes about 8 years to get, but in the end, the two hundred thousand dollar + salaries and home in Greece will all be worth the wait.

In conclusion, f'd up spellings and made-up, trendy crap looks illiterate, this is NOT an opinion of my own making, it proven that people associate these types of names with under educated, lower salary families, it has nothing to do with myself.

all i gotta say is before you go and say im illiterate make sure your shit is perfect, secondly i know plenty of people with made up or differently spelled names that are extremely successful now a days it doesnt take a name to get a job it takes education and qualifications and if your going to spend 8 years in college like i will be how about strive to make more than two hundred thousand dollars but i guess someone like you will settle for the least.

Strive to make more than two hundred thousand dollars a year? Who said I wasn't, but who the hell wouldn't be happy with that?

Make sure my shit is perfect? At least I use punctuation.

Lastly, I never said someone with a fucked up name COULDN'T get a job, but do your research, statistics prove I'm right.

not all the places you get statistics are right one place will say one hing and another will say another. just about anyone could find one statistic to back them up if not more. and your right i may not use punctuation on here cause it really isnt that big a deal to me but im not the one pointing out something you do wrong and then doing that exact thing wrong myself. now thank you for your time but im through with you ive had my fun with you now im going to through you out like the piece of trash i think you are.

Piece of trash, eh? That's incredibly classy. Being literate includes using punctuation when you write, doesn't matter where or when, lol. It's one thing to misspell a word here and there and totally throw punctuation and spelling out the window completely. You can't just go and find just ANY statistic either, it has to be from a reliable source. If your so educated, you should know this, it's taught in most college LIBS classes. It's a proven FACT that people that hire for companies DO judge based on names. It's not fair, it's not right and I don't agree with it, but it's the cold hard truth about human being.

Also keep in mind a few more things before choosing the right baby name. Because once you've kept it you cant change it
  • Your Idol?
  • Favorite flowers, gems?
  • Who are your favorite artists?
  • What is your favorite movie star? etc.

Actually you can change your child's name. It'll cost you some time and money, but it's possible.

Good question. Why do people name their children after professions?

Profession names go back a LONG time. It's like why people where named after physical attributes.

The whole "oh, let's name them after a famous person" is just so tacky and tasteless. Just another thing to add to my long list of why our culture is so disgusting.

Yeah, but still. I'd like to honor my grandfather by using one of his names, but his LN is Taylor. His MN is Hudson. WDYT of using Hudson as FN or MN?

Tanner, Cooper, Taylor, Thatcher, Tyler, Hunter (I hate that name), Chandler, Carter, Piper, and Mason just to name a few.

I don't LIKE profession names, especially the stupid ones people come up with, lol.

Hudson is nice! What would the first name be?
