well for me picking baby names out is a great thing becuase u can pick unique names out that bobody has had and thats great because u love your child enough to give them the name that best fits them and nobody has and it a wonderful feeling

So I agree when it was said that a short first name sounds good with a long last name. or vis versa. However, what do you do when you have a medium last name? Like with only 6 letters?

i recently found out that i am having a boy but if he was a girl the name was going to be Kaidyne(said like Caden) Renee but were thinking about naming our boy Noah James

I dont think It matters It's your baby you name then what you like if they think it's the cutest name then it is they no more about there babies then any of us do stop judging or why don't you just pick out a name for them since everything they pick out is supposubly disgusting.

I only read the first and last pages of this thread but yeh.. Baby namin' is simple as pie.. You pick what YOU like! Just make sure it's something that you can say everyday, in every situation, with a straight face.. My method is more or less to run with sounds that you like and tack on pre or suffixes accordingly.. For instance, my next child - a girl- we will be naming "Storry Jöelle".. I knew I wanted a middle name ending in "elle" to go with the first I picked out and I went-a searching.. Originally I was going to go with "Joyelle" (something I came up with, but found I wasn't the only one to create that name) but I said the name about 5 times fast and it was a little tongue twisterish.. -- But then I saw Joelle and fell in love with it.. And I'm very much into making a name as creative as possible so that's why I'm tacking on the umlaut over the "o".. Just a little bit more jazzy IMO..

Anyway, I reiterate that if should be something that sounds pleasing to you since you'll be the one saying that name the most.. And if it turns out you made a horrendous choice in moniker from your child's POV they can always change it later if it's THAT BAD.. It may hurt you a little, since a name is essentially the first gift you ever give your child, but it's not as if we can ask them their opinion from the get-go so it's an uncertain road...

Btw, my other kids names are Drake Xavier and Tatum Bliss.. A little normal in comparison to my latest pick I think.. lol!

Your names are gorgeous! I have always thought Joelle was especially pretty.  

One of my good friends had a brother named Joel, so she named her daughter Joelle in his honor.

Thanks doll! Joelle is nice.. Not very modern since it is the female version of a male biblical name but I like it's meaning "God is Willing".. it's a long story but I live in an islamic country where their answer to every question is "inshallah" which basically means "if God wills it". They use it for everything from praying for a healthy recovery to if my cable guy is going to come this week or not.. It's maddening, LOL!

Emily is pretty, but a bit too popular for me. I do love Emmaline though.  

I actually wanted to Name her EmmaLeigh or EmaLeigh i like the name Emma And it would be a cute nick name I also though of Of Emma- Leigh Marie something along those lines i dont want it spelled emily it really is too common, do you have any suggestions for boy names i like xavier ,anthony, Andre, Gabriel, but hmm nothing is set yet... any ideas.?

Baby's last name would be Aponte and the daddys name name is Juan Carlos, i liked Juan Andres as the name but the middle name is one of my exes name and he doesnt like him lol he never met him i think its a jelousy thing so i dont know what to pick lol
