Late night thoughts

I feel so horrible for my poor babies... for the past couple days they've made a bowel movement atleast once a day and its almost like a clay substance and i have to hold their legs up to their bellies for them to comfortably push it out and its so hard, i can't imagine pushing that out myself much less them doing it! Here it is 4:30 a.m. and Liam is finally settling down. They are such great babies, i couldn't of gotten easier twins but i feel horrible for them when they fricken poop! I use the Dr Browns bottles but recently i bought the Playtex VentAire bottles which they seem to be okay and today i bought the Playtex drop ins and that was kinda okay but i like the VentAire bottles better. They still seem to spit up, i think tomorrow i'm gonna go buy new nipples for a slower flow cause i think some of the nipples i use are too fast for them. I was at target debating on which bottle to buy, its 19 dollars for 2 bottles of the born free, ugh thats gonna be my last option if nothingelse works! Its also not easy to feed both babies and try to burp them one at a time with the other crying cause he wants the bottle back lol... but yeah, thatsa few things thatareon my mind at 4:30, i'm terrified to fall asleep cause once i do i know one of them will wake me up and then i'll be miserable.. you ever fall asleep and finally when your in that comfortable deep sleep, the baby wakes you up and you are overwhelmed with exhaustion... agh. Atleast there cute

I liked the vent-aire bottles better than the drop-ins. Have you talked to the pedi about their hard time pooping? My friend had the same problem, but her daughter was already one and was able to take suppositories.(sp?) How old are they? If they're eating solids, maybe you can give them prunes.

They're 7 weeks old, i tried calling their pediatrician but they only connected me to the triage nurse and she told me just to try to switch them back to the neosure that they were on but i switched them from neosure to isomil like 2 weeks ago and these hard bowel movements just started about 2 days ago so i know its not the formula. The vent aire bottles are easier for me to use cause the babies are eating 3 oz. and the drop in bottles go up to 9 oz and i can't squeeze out all the air but with the vent i obviouslydon't have to squeeze anything and it just seems to work better for them so i might end up using that until they start to boost up their amount and then give the drop ins another try. I would hate to call the pediatrician for a 3rd day in a row... yesterday i called about the bowel movements and the day before i called to ask how to help them relieve gas pains... i didn't get any help with that but the boys arn't really gassy so much, its just them trying to push out their stool... poor babies!

YUp def too young for solids. I'm fresh out of ideas. Sorry I can't be of any help.

Its cool, i have no idea what to do either and i've been googling everything! I don't like doing things without getting the pediatricians "ok" on it first but i'll see how they do. Luckily they never fuss unless their gassy or hungry, i'm just thankful there not colic or alllways in pain... its just every once and a while so unless it gets worse i'll figure out what to do, until then the newbottle hunt continues!
