I remember when that happened to my DH. I would go like two weeks without talking to him and then when he did call we could only talk for 5 minutes.   Where is he stationed @? If I were you, I would just encourage him to stay there to tough it out. The sooner he gets basic done the better. I mean being "recycled" into the program sucks balls. I mean who wants to stay in basic longer than normal. Also, tell your husband the guys don't hate them. They may say that now, but they are going thru the same shit he is. It's just annoying when a mistake is made and the D.S. take it out on the whole platoon. They will get over it thou, I mean it's not like your DH does it on a regular basis right?

mines being deployed in september and i am due in october....it was just something we expected and anticipated.....there is a little bit of sadness but we are going to make a joke out of it and blow up his picture into a cardboard cutout and have it in the delivery room
