I'm finishing out the papers for the lawyer and running them to his office. It's kind of hard because Chris has ALL the info with him that I need and he's being a complete dick..but, what's done is getting done I suppose. He won't know what hit him.

We're officially getting a divorce. My attorney is great, I couldn't be more happy. I have to wait 90 days before filing the offical papers because I have to be a resident of MO for that long.
Chris is being a complete jackass. He's fighting everything I'm trying to compromise on. I'm trying to keep things civil, but it's being really, REALLY hard.
I don't have much time to get online anymore. I'm looking HARD for a job, but I can't find a damn thing. I can't get on assistance until I get a job and leave my parent's house, which just sucks. WIC won't take me because I don't have an income so they have to base it by Chris' income, which is JUST over the cut off. I can't get food stamps because I'm under 22, live with my parents, so my parents would have to be covered aswell. My father makes too much money.
I just feel like I'm being shit on for trying to get out of my marriage. Granted, I tried my hardest to make the marriage work, but it just sucks that it failed. I'm trying my best to stay positive, but it seems like there's alwaysa roadblock. *sigh*
I'm beginning to lose the faith that I can do this. I have so many people telling me that they're glad I'm finally away from him, that I deserve better, but my girls deserve better. I know that what's better for them is for me and Chris to be apart, but I also think that financial need is just as important. I just don't know anymore. The only thing I'm sure of is that I need to be away from Chris. Even now, he harasses me, calling me over and over without ending. It's a constant downer, about what happens if I don't get a job and how I should just come back, blah blah blah. He'll never stop his games.
My dad tells me day after day to try and keep calm or just hang up, that it'll look better on me that way, and I agree. It's just so hard to not open my mouth to Chris. He NEEDS to hear and listen, not just hear and let it go in one ear and out the other.

I don't know you well enough to really comment on much of your situation, but I'm glad you are doing what you think is best for you and your girls! Not many people are brave enough to make the move.



The one thing I can comment on:   I can't believe you don't qualify for WIC on his income. What rank is he? .....maybe the qualifications are stricter in the states than here? IDK I have a friend that's an E-5 and still qualifies.

I figure if I'm sticking my head in someone else's business the least I can do is be supportive   Seriously though, I know you should "try to work it out" and all that shit, but if you've given it an honest go that's the best you can do. I grew up in a house with parents that had no business being together and would have MUCH rather spent weekends in a different house than I spent the week than grown up listening to all that.
