Drew passed his ASVAB with a 70 and made a verbal commitment to the Army today. He gets sworn in on Monday. He chose combat engineer (21B) for his job and will tentatively ship out in Feb.....missing the birth   I already called my little sis from my sorority, the first person I thought of when it came to who could "replace" drew in the delivery room, and she said she would be there in a heartbeat, which means so much to me because she lives 3 hours away and has a family of her own. It made me feel so much better knowing she would do everything in her power to be there for me.

Congratulations! I'm sorry to hear he won't be there for baby's arrival, though.

Ryan gets sworn in on Monday as well for the Army Reserves. He chose Human Intelligence Collector as his job and goes to basic in March then straight to ATI until September. So he'll miss Hannah's 3rd birthday as well as my best friend's wedding in which I'm the maid of honor and Hannah's the flower girl.   But it's a sacrifice we'll have to live with.


Grats Lynn on Drew passing and swearing in as well. It's not always the easiest decision but it sounds like it's a good one for your family.

same town. We just got a bigger house. It's so nice. We actually have room. It's 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms formal living room and formal dining roomand 2100 sq feet. It right next to a man made lake thatconnects to a golf course. Thebest thing is that Isaiah is still in the same school. I was worried about that when we were looking. His school is the best in our county. Im just exhausted from moving. Paul went to get sushi so I can sit for a bit. I'll take pics when we finish stuff up.

The good news, I called my closest, most trustworthy friend, my little "sister" from my sorority. She lives about 3 hours away and said she would be there for me if I needed her...I told her that's why i was calling actually, if there was anyone that could come close to "replacing" Drew in the delivery room it would be her. We both started bawling and she said she would be there in a heartbeat....well about 3 hours from my call  

Later, I got a text from her, she has already talked to her HR telling them she needed time off in May that is tentative on exact dates depending on when I deliver. I'm so blessed to have her as a friend.

Yeah, I really think it is a good decision for us. It took a lot of though and we had to separate the nervousness from whether or not it was a good decision. Then we had to ask ourselves, is this something we want to do? Even if it seems to be the bet decision it's not the right decision unless we want to do it...especially Drew.

yes it is! I'm excited that we are 99% sure that the army will be doing our first move. I'm not packing a house with a newborn and moving God knows where at this point ha ha

Everything looked normal on my ultrasound!   We're still getting a referral to the high risk doctor since it's an option for us. I figure you can't go wrong with a second opinion and likely a second ultrasound lol

I've been on a hiatus from .. pretty much the online world as a whole, aside from what I have as an app on my phone for.

Congrats Ryan & Drew! AMY! I'm so stoked for you and your heathen producing self! Holler for the new house, Leah!

Anyway, on the me front - there ain't much to report. We've had a lot of family .. er.. issues. Not family as in Todd & I.. but as in my fambam here. Time consuming crap. I did something to my back a week and a half ago and that's just starting to go away, thanks to the steroids they put me on.   Lego's new word is "REEEESPECT!" so that's been a hoot. If you try to tell him to do something, he'll throw his hand up at you and say: "REEEESPECT!" Outstanding. I so look forward to the teen years.

But yeah. No idea when I'll be back. Miss you bitches.
