I used mine for weeks with my daughter, and it never helped send me into labor. It's just supposed to help you stretch and 'widen' your hips to hopefully give you an easier delivery...

I'm not having a vaginal delivery lol so it kinda makes it pointless then?
What if i just bounce like a crazy woman? Nothing will start contractions?

Well, they won't let you go past 42 weeks. Unfortunately, I don't know that I've heard of anyone going into labor by using the ball....

Why are they making you wait till you go into labor to perform a section?

I am past 42 weeks lol
They stopped my labor at what they said was "36". BUT i went to a different doctor and they said i was 39 and that was 3 weeks ago.
But since they stitched me and stopped my labor, it wont start again. /=
My doctors are stupid as hell.
Next pregnancy will not be through this OB

I was just looking around for this exact thing lol. My dr wants me to go into labor because ill be attempting a VBAC. I found a site that said
To Get into Labor
Doing vigorous circles on the ball can help get the baby’s head on the cervix. If your baby is posterior (you feel little hands wiggling down in front) then don’t do these circles until after ten contractions doing the abdominal lift and tuck.
If your water releases (breaks, rupture of membranes, ROM) and there are no contractions, then these circles on the ball, done smoothly, but actively, perhaps to salsa music, can help bring the head on the cervix and bring on contractions. 20 minutes. Change directions periodically during the 20 minutes you do the circles. Alternate abdominal lifts with circles on the ball once contractions begin if the contractions are not yet 3-4 minutes apart and it’s not time to sleep.

I couldnt find anyhting about the abdominal tuck and lift thing it was talking about so i just rocked forward and backwards and side to side then the circles, i am having some contractions.... I dont think it will be labor though and it could possibly be because right before i started the ball tonight we walked 2 miles lol Im pooped!!!!

nothing will induce you except your baby or pitocine. I was 10 days over due w/my last and walked about a mile several days a week, bounced on a birth ball, ate pineaple and wasabi all the time... I still had to be induced.

You're due date says the 20th - it's only the 28th....

LOL so pretty much sit ups? Her hands are way low... If i pull the skin tight on
the V part of my vagina I can sometimes see her fists.. She's HUGE though
she's about 10 pounds now lmao
and her head is 36 cm's.

The baby already brought labor... They were just stupid as hell and stopped it, and sewed my cervix at 5cm.
thinking I was 36 weeks, when really I was 39. So now she's huge. And I'm afraid if i wait too long she'll be in the NICU from being overdue.

BUT when I went on the 1st i think it was or 2nd I was 39 weeks.
