My husband doesn't have a green card, hes a US Citizen.

His father and mother brought them to US in the 1980's (LEGALLY may I add. so it can be done )and they all became citizens, my husband and his brother didn't have to take the test, they were educated in the US.

But my MIL and FIL did have to take the test.

and im not 18 so the marriage thing is outta the question...and we have already tried getting the sponsorship thingy from my father but since he is already in the united states they wont do it...it just really hard because hes always away working and i feel like im alone through this whole thing..and it upsets him and we argue about it but until he can get a better job then there is nothing we can do...i just thought i should vent

yep...I used to look down upon illegal aliens, but my husband is a good man and hard worker. He came here to make a better life for his family because many families go hungry and he refused to let his family down. Just so happened that I met him and now we're settled here. Sometimes I get angry at him for not trying to come the legal way, but it is what it is and he had good reason for doing it. People dont realize how hard it is until they look into it or know someone who has tried

my abuelo got his green card a few years ago & now he's studying for his citizen test rightnow as we speak ! its not hard , he just has to get off his ass & do it . .
