Circumcision help

Hey ladies I posted this in PWI also but I thought I'd see if anyone here knows about this..
So my son was circumcized the same day he was born and now he's almost 6 weeks old his dr is saying some of the skin is sticking and it needs to be pulled back...honestly this is the only dr i've heard of that does this...have any of your babies had the same thing happen...my hubby has 3 bro's and I have 2 and they've never had this done...I kind of think our sons dr is a quack. Any help would be appreciated

Never heard of it. =\ My son's went fine. That just sounds odd to me.

Wyatt's went pretty fine... nothing too weird happened.

Well supposedly his curcumcision went fine but now the skin is sticking wth...and this same dr did the same thing to my friends son...everytime he would go in he would pull the skin on his penis and hurt him!

Eh.. Maybe this guy is just some pedo? I wouldn't let him touch my kid.

My son isnt circumsized so you have to pull it back to clean it anyway...but my nephew is circumsized and he still has a little bit of skin, so it has to be pulled back to be cleaned to.
I think it depends on how they do the circumcision, or it might just depend on the boy.

yep, this happened to my son, the doc left to much skin and so we had to pull back the skin. It did not work well for my son, he had far too much skin and it readhered and he had to have the circ redone. Just pull back at each diaper change.

May I ask are you seeing a Urologist? This is the only doc that can say for sure if something is wrong and what needs to be done, my son ended up with several surgeries, but not only was the circ done wrong he also ended up with a staph infection at the hospital.

Nope no urologist...we're on sooner care and we are going to pay a dr for a second opinion just out of pocket...do you mind me asking what caused the staph infection?

My kids arent circumsized but I still pull it back to clean it. They dont like it at all because it does hurt. Poor kids.

Sorry to get back to you so late, staph is rampant in hospitals   it is the most common hospital infections. There is no way to tell where bur the urologist said it was likely after his circ when they were changing diapers, germs were spread, the staph caused most of the problems. He was badly scared and had a hard time peeing and had to have that corrected also. The urologist says this is common when the OB performs the circ, he actually said " ob's no vagina'a not the penis, why let them cut it" I never thought about that before! Good Luck, I am sure he will be fine but you should continue to pull back the skin so it will not readhere, that can cause bigger issues.

hmm that is weird.. my sons went well it was very hard cleaning it after it was done and he had that plastibell thingy that fell off. I was so scared cleaning him. Next one is a girl for me I never want to have to go through a circumsion again. I hated hearing him cry and being so scared for him during and after.
