Ok so we all know this is an embarrasing subject, but never the less they're real. I always had a fear of getting them and before i got them i always thought you only got them from sitting to long or the only people who got them were older people. Ive heard of woman getting them because of childbirth, and when the nurses came in the morning after giving birth to my son checking me for them i was like "i dont have hemmroids!" Now my son is 4 months old and they are awful ive had them for a few months and honestly, i'd rather go thru childbirth again to continue my life this way! They are so painful that i dread having to use the restroom, i know this is an embarrasing subject but i need advice on how to either help soothe them or getting rid of them. I mean am i going to be this way for the rest of my life?!
Awww, try eating foods high in fiber to stop your stool from getting too hard, also, when they get inflamed try some witch hazel pads and some preperation H.
You can get medicated suppositorys from the doctor or over the counter... ive gotton my share while being pregnant and for the pain i use tucks pads which you can get at any pharmacy... good luck hun... i feel your pain!
prep h plus pain relief... witch hazel pads are nice... push them back in... usually at your postpartum check up they will ask if you want them pushed in
and yes you get them from so much blood and pushing like your taking a crap during birth. i hate those nurses who tell you to do that !!! use your stomach muscles women !
I had a c-section as mine were so bad. I saw 5 docs about them! My LO is 7 months now and I'm seeing a surgeon in 2 weeks to determine what is next.
Here's what i do to minimize the problem. Honestly, during my pregnancy i was often in tears and unable to move much. It felt like surgical pain w/o pain meds.
Anywho:
Soak in hot baths as often as you can. Get an Rx for Analpram. Sit on an inflatable donate or lay down as much as possible as you want the pressure off your butt hole. Pain relief- Dibucaine (generic) or one of the brand names like Nupercainal (near Prep H section). Get an Rx for Lidocaine oinment if pain not better. Bathrrom habits - do not overwipe. Do not sit any longer than necessary on the toiloet. Wait until you really, really are about to poop before you go to the bathrrom. Dont get constipated. You may need to take colace regularly.
BTW, my hemis were not from being constipated as i was never that way while prego.
Good luck.
Drink water regularly, eat foods high in fiber, try not to strain when you go, and (this is the BEST thing that has helped mine) is to use a moistened flushable wipe every time you poop. While they will get smaller in size, they won't go away unless you have them removed.
