LMFAO I got a forwarded text from someone about having a 'silent moment for Jackson's death,' I was like WTF I didn't even know he had died  

The OP made me laugh though

haha I love that   This post has made me not so angry. My question is why do people cry about someone they mostlikely have never met. I just don't get why people act like they were their best friend or something.

I posted Thriller as a post...I couldnt stop myself...my fingers have a mind of their own.

I think some people feel like they're supposed to mourn, so they put on a display about how sad they are. Or, some people want in on the attention that it's generating. I imagine some people genuinely felt close for some reason, and so are feeling real, heartfelt grief, but I can't imagine that's the case for most people.

The only time I cried over a death of a celebwas when "Jack" died on "Titanic"
I sat in the audience and cried "Noooooooo! Leo! Noooooo!" but he was okay after all  

that is all....

I dont know any of these people in real life (however I did meet Corky from Life Goes On and I'd be a momentarily sad if he passed away) so I can't really be moved to tears.

very true. I think its odd for me to imagine feeling this way because I just don't make that connection with people I have never met. I just don't connect with very many people.

I hate people. Yeah, it's sad. Now say "That's sad" And move on because you didn't know him.

I can barely be moved to tears if I genuinely knew the person. Eh, that's jsut me, though.


I make dead mother jokes...and my mother is dead. I don't get why people think that you should respect the dead...but not the living. That's just boggles my mind more than anything. 

Now millions who called Michael Jackson a pedo and other nasty things are going to be like "oh, it's so sad!" And never say anything negative about him again because it's 'not right'
