exactly - it's all mythology. Greek mythology was a religon until the romans came - the romans adopted it and then the christians came and Rome adopted the christian belief system - not because any ruler was really a pasionate believer, but to keep peace - when that happened a regular human birth was changed to a virgin birth and over the centuries the christian faith absorbed practises of whatever culture it took over to make the transition less traumatic and more acceptable to that race - i mean seriously a christmas tree, the easter bunny, the easter egg ect has NOTHING to do with christianity. something that may have been worth believing in a LONG time ago was bastardized by zealots and greedy leaders. Basing policy and practices on this bastardized mythology is assinine in my book, but if that's what's goona happen then they should be following EVERY tenant the bible lays out, not just the ones they pick and choose.

I believe in God, and I go to church. I have had an abortion, slightly for medical reasons..but still it was my choice, and it was only a month ago. When you go around telling people they are going to burn in hell for their sins, it doesn't make you seem too nice, and thus people get the wrong idea about christians....
