My labor Story
posted 24th Jun
I went to the hospital for my induction around 7:30pm on June 14th. I was 39 weeks pregnant. They started me on cervadil around 8:45 pm, My boyfriend and I walked outside alot to try to speed things up, and around 10:00 I had to come back in for antibiotics because i was positive for strep B. Anyways after they monitered the baby for awhile and gave me my first dose of antibiotics I started to have contractions every 2 minutes... We went to sleep around 1:00am but I got up around 3am and walked outside until 4:30am I was in pain. I went back in and told the nurse i was in labor, so she recomended a shower, so i got in the shower (meanwhile my boyfriend was talking in his sleep) i got out of the shower and woke my boyfriend up.. we went outside so i could walk off the contraction pain... because laying down was miserable. I was outside in a hospital gown bent over my car swaying in the parking lot while my wonderful boyfriend rubbed my back. We decided we should go in and get checked.. It was 6:30am... Nurse checked me I was 3cm...completely thinned and my water bag was bulging.. I was shocked I was in so much pain and only at 3cm... So the nurse paged my doctor to break my water instead of using pitocin right away.. he arrived around 7:20am broke my water as soon as he walked in the door, i went from 3cm to a 6cm.. (getting your water broken HURTS BAD.) My doctor asked me if i wanted the epidural.. I said absoultely NOT!!!! And I stuck to my word even though i thought i was going to DIE. LITERALLY. It hurt so fucking bad. I was moaning and trying to breathe through it, but anyways the nurse was right there, checking me every 5 minutes.. I told her i had to push, she said i was only 8cm DO NOT PUSH.. My boyfriend was holding my hand, giving me drinks, and really being supportive. I LOVE HIM... anyways i was finally a 10cm and her head was crowning, that urge to push is SUPER OVERWHELMING.. I tryed not to push but it wasnt happening,, it was the worst pain ever when her head came out.. OMG. She was born at 7:58am... yes it was very quick.. water broke at 7:25am, she was born at 7:58am... THANK GOD IT WAS FAST. She weighed 6lbs 6ozs and 19 inches long.. way different from my first who weighed 7lbs 9ozs and 19 1/2 inches long.. But she is healthy and I love her to death.. Her name is Kiley Anne Johnson.. And i got to breatfeed her as soon as she was born...
I'll add pics later..
