Am I a Bad Mommy?

posted 24th Jun '07
Sometimes I just get so frustrated because Gabey is crying. Sometimes I just don't want to look at him. I feel like such a bad mother. I feel so tired all the time. I can't think straight. He cries and my head starts hurting. I just want a break. I just want someone to take him for like....a day..maybe over night..just let me sleep and draw. I'm so freaking overworked and underappreciated...Daniel is such...gah.......

I'm a bad mommy..i just know it.

Honestly I don't think it would be normal for a mom to not get stressed out about it. It is really hard when you have no help at home.....my hubby is like that too, I hope when the baby comes he'll get better....It's ok to let your baby cry, go take a relaxing bath...Have you ever tried vitamin b complex? It is awesome for stress and stress induced headaches...

nooo. you are a NORMAL mommy. You will have your days like that..especially when baby is a high needs baby. sometimes mama just needs some space!! You love your baby--theres no question about it. You get frustrated. when you get too tired and overwhelmed, find a sitter or put him in his bed and let him cry (sometimes baby cries for much needed space) until you can compose yourself.
when my hubby was in Iraq, I had NOONE to pass my daughter off too...ciggarettes became my best friend for the time she napped. Not saying you should leave him and smoke...but even 15 minutes will ease your pain! get some more sleep too. Babies are a lot of work.

No you are not a bad mommy .. believe me I feel the same way sometimes I just put the bbay in the room andlet him cry it out and go and make myself a cup of coffee and relax. I have to do it. When they are changed and fed adn everytjhing is good and they keep crying you have to let em cry it out. It just maked it worse when your so frustrated and carrying them trying to calm them when there is nothin you can do.

oohh oooh Buy this stuff!!!

http://www.hylands.com/products/teething.php

walmart sells it. 5 bucks...and worth every penny.

It has something in it to calm and soothe baby's nerves, and some of the pain. Oragel and motrin are great...add 1-2 of these disolving tabs (they taste like milk too, so baby will like them) and you have a better situation. I swear by them. They work.

his gums are swollen but the doctor says the tooth won't be here for a while..

i need to get more..he calmed down with those things. I know it sounds weird but he'd open his mouth and hold it open for me to put the things in there i swear..

My daughters 19 months old and I still feel like that!!!   lol.. My daughter just throws tantrums (lately) all day long so I just put her in her room, turn the radio up (so I don't hear the screaming) for a little while and try to unwind maybe about 15 minutes or so, she doesn't always cry that whole time, by that time I feel better, I go in and check on her and she's playing with her toys, and where both calm and happy!

I guess my only problem is that if i put him down and my family is home (which they have been the past week and a half due to summer break) then they either yell at me to pick him up or pick him up and shove him into my arms. They act like its horrible to let him even whimepr!
