i dont know if within the practice will make a difference, because they probably have the same policy's. But it can't hurt to ask. I di understand that. I would feel uncomfortable with a 38 weeker as well.

my dr's was majors jerks.
Told me the average woman couldnt give birth vag. to a 10 pound baby;
i really wanted to, but they said my daughter was too big and i pretty much had to have a c-section. they kept screwing with my due date so i just wanted her out and so i had a csection.
really wanting a vbac but they are saying they are highly doubtfull ill be able to,
i dont even have a visible scare anymore, its gone.

I plan to

I wanted to wait till it got a couple pages of stories and conversation. Just to make sure SOME girls were interested before I ask Mara. I thought it would look better.

Wow twins and an infant under two. Yeah I can see not wanting a repeat c/s just for the simple fact that your gonna have your hands full. Do you know what kind of incision you got?? If it was an emergancy c/s you might have gotten a vertical cut (on the inside) and idealy, of course its not imposible to do with a ver. but, a doctor would like you to have had a horizontal cut previously. It holds up better to contractions. You need to get ahold of you c/s repost form your doctor, it will tell you in there.

So was your c/s planned then?? Or did you make the dision after you had already gone into labor??

it was planed;
but they day i was there for my c-section i was going into labor anyways so i thought c-section would of been safer just in case she was too big

I asked because the chances for a safe and sucsesful VBAC are better with a previous planned c/s cause they whould have taken their time to move musal and tisuse carfully, instead of needing to get in to get baby out fast and not taking the extra time to make carfull cuts.

O your welcome, thats wonderful. It's good to here that you were able to find a supportive doctor so easliy. I know how disapointed I was at having to have a c/s after planning for my whole pregnancy for a natural birth. I hope it goes more smoothly for you this time.

When you asked the doctor about doing a VBAC, did he/she seem kinda relucdent to do it and saythat you guys can "try" for VBAC or do you think they're gonna really help you go all the way through with it? Is it something that they support regularly or did they make an exception for you?

I havent seen her yet. But they have no restrictions on VBACs. My previous dr tried to make me feel better about not even trying and it almost convinced me to do it again. The hospital DOES allow VBACs but the office I went to has a policy against it. I dnt agree with that because that doesnt let drs practice what they learned.
