Hopefully that is the case, but I will still be seeing American docors. So who knows!

I'm seeing American Drs too and every OB/midwife in my practice accepts VBAC patients. I hear that a lot of overseas hospitals have a "when in Rome" attitude about it.

Awesome! That give me a lot of hope!

So then my next question is, do you have any less of a chance if your incision re-opend after they closed it up? I had a blood clot behind my incision and it re-opend so we had to do the whole wet to dry packing everyday.

The wet/dry pack sounds like your outer incision reopened, is that correct? If so, I can't imagine that would have an impact. The "big concern" (in quotes because it's actually such a small risk) is uterine rupture, so I wouldn't think your outer stitches (staples, glue, whatever) splitting would have any effect in the future.

You are correct. The outer incision did reopen. Thank you so much for all your help! This gives me a little be more confidence that I will be able to have a VBAC.

I had something similar happen. My scar did not reopen during my VBAC. It opened about 3 cm 2 weeks after my cs with Kailee. It is a little thicker there and raised, but going back down.

Only 1 cm and 30% effaced. Cervix is soft though! The DR said he couldn't sweep me because I wasn't dilated enough. Hopefully Tuesday he can!!

It must feel good to have something going on. Went today and still nothing..Go next Wednesday for another u/s to determine weight then my appointment. I'm afraid they are going to tell me he weighs more then they want and make me do a c-sec..Even though at this rate with no progression of any kind I feel I'm gonna end up with one anyway

your doing it again. your getting all bummed out you still have two weeks lots can change in that amount of time. Some woman just all of a sudden go into labor. Some woman are in early labor for weeks. Keep walking and doing every crazy wives tale you have heard and see if it helps. Breathe either way you are gonna have a bundle of joy in a blink of an eye!

I know, I know! but it's so hard at this point. I feel like complete smurf..contractions that don't do anything, no progression..I've blown up like a balloon, literally. My Ob even commented on how swollen I am since last week. I'm just so irritated. I want this vbac, but I feel like smurf is happening just like it did with my son.
