you dont have to pump and dump. It leaves your BM just like it leaves your blood. If you are sober enough to drive, you can BF. Go to kellymom.com to get more specifics

Pump and dump is completely useless. It is only to help you feel more comfortable.

Basically, if your sober enough to drive, your sober enough to breastfeed. But you can't be buzzed either.

Alcohol doesn't stay in breastmilk. So when your blood alcohol levels are back down, so are your milk alcohol levels.

Everything says different but my nurse told me I dont have to pump and dump and I'm okay to have a drink or two and still nurse him. If your going to drink more then that be careful.

Ditto to everything so far. No need to pump and dump, it's just a waste of milk, unless you're engorged. You were most likely fine to nurse right away when you got home.

Thats true. I have had a beer and nursed. Beer actually helps to increase milk supply. Just incase nobody knew that, it was a helpful tip as a new nursing mother!
