Pregestimil Formula

posted 21st Jun
Does anyone know where I can buy this? The NICU told me to supplement when I'm not breastfeeding, but have yet to find it!

& Does anyone know if they sell Prosobee in stores? Its like powdered formula but its for adding calories to my BM.

You can find it at Kroger or behind the counter in Wallgreens.

I've never heard of either of those things but i have heard of stuff called expectra or something like that and it's supposed to enhance your BM with all the vitamins and good stuff!!

wow. Do they have Walgreens brand?? If it cost that much I don't think I'll use it, that is insane. As much of a pain pumping is I will probably stick with it!

Pregestimil is the only one, no generic for it.
You can get a prescription for it.
Or what the Pregestimil is usually used for is the MCT oil in it.
You can probably get a prescription for MCT oil or they might carry it at GNC, I am not positive though also. Before buying MCT oil talk to you doctor about it.
There may also be another kind of formula you can use. It is quite expensive and it is in a small can for $28. Thankfully WIC is covering it for me if not I would be in debt from formula alone.

My son was on Pregestimil in the NICU but came home on neocate it is alittle over $40 a can. Thank God we to received WIC due to my son 's LBW while he was on the neocate. He is now on Prosobee and we just get it at the grocery store he will be coming off soon he will be 2 this week. Anyways, everyone is right about where to get the Pregestimil I just wanted to give you this info on a program that enfamil has for parents whose kids need a special formula but they cant afford it.Here is the link

Thanks! I wish we could get WIC, my DH makes $50 too much, what a bummer! & I don't work. I will have to look for Prosobee.

Yeah, I'm gonna give her Pedi a call to see what else I can use. I don't really want to buy a 'big' can cause she didn't even use half of the one they sent home from the NICU and its been 3 weeks, can't use it after a month of being opened.

No Problem. Yeah I know the feeling luckily we got it when we were onthe expensive formula but my DH got a raise and we no longer qualify I have been buying the prosobee for a couple months now its not bad though. About $13 for the small can. I have alot of cans left and am not giving it to my son anymore after his week. I was wanting to sell it but not sure how to work out the details of payment and shipping over the internet. If you are interested and have a solution just pm me.

I used prosobee with my son. Walmart makes their brand soy formula, and if you read the can it has the exact amounts of all of the vitamins and minerals that the enfamil prosobee has. I know the stigma that comes with store brand anything, especially formula, but you have to do what you have to do. A big can of the store brand was the same price as a little can of the enfamil.

Hi! Are still intersted in the pregestimil formula. I do have some and would like to sell it. We can work a deal. Send me an email how much you would like to pay including the shipping. I do have 6 unopened cans. Hope to help anyone in need. Thanks
