Some Random Questions...

If your water were to break in the shower, would you notice?

What kind of outfit did you bring your baby home in? (Or what are you planning on using?) Was it something special, or simple?

What did you do to pass the time and get your mind off the pain when you were in labor?

What is the most frequent baby gift that you have recieved? (I've gotten about tweleve of fifteen fuzzy blankets and I can't take them back because no one seems to include reciepts!)

If you have pets, how have they reacted to all of the new baby stuff around the house, and how did they react when baby came home?

First, I don't know about the water breaking in the shower....

My little man's going home outfit is a camouflage sleeper with matching hat and booties so he can match his grandpa (my dad only wears camo, big redneck)... we ordered it online.

While I'm in labor, I have my fiance, there's a TV in the room, and I have sudoku books and a cross stitch that I'm working on.

As for baby gifts, I got a ton of blankets and diapers. And it seems like evryone takes the tags off of everything now! I also have 3 of the same outfit in the same size but the tags were taken off all 3, so I can't take them back!

My cat sniffed at the baby stuff when I put it all together and set it up where I wanted it. She really isn't interested in it, although she likes to sleep in the bouncer....

Okay, I can't answer all your questions cause my baby's not here yet! But I'll answer the ones I can.

Not sure if you'd notice you're water breaking in the shower. But from what I've heard it doesn't always gush out, it kind of leaks, so it would probaby still be leaking when you were done. And I think you start having pretty strong contractions after it breaks.

I'm planning on bringing my little man home in something cute. Little plaid "golfing" shorts with a polo onesie and cute little shoes!! I can't wait!! It's not really anything special, just a cute outfit I found.

As for the labor, I plan on using breathing techniques and having my fiance rub my back!

I received the most of hooded bath towels( I got 7). I also got 16 pair of socks!! I took some of those back. If you have received anything you know came from Wal-Mart you can take it back and they'll give you a gift card. I think the same goes for pretty much everywhere...

I don't have any pets!!

Good Luck with your pregnancy!!

If your water were to break in the shower, would you notice? I would think you would feel a gush, and i heard it doesnt just stop there. if you were to dry off and lay down that you should still feel a little water that should come out.

What kind of outfit did you bring your baby home in? (Or what are you planning on using?) Was it something special, or simple? We are bringing a really nice pink dress, its like a hulter top on the top and has white imbrodery along the bottom. We are also bring a couple onsies if that doesnt work out lol

What did you do to pass the time and get your mind off the pain when you were in labor? I havent gotten that far yet but i heard to bring crossword puzzles or a hand held gaming thing or something that you activly have to think about.

What is the most frequent baby gift that you have recieved? (I've gotten about tweleve of fifteen fuzzy blankets and I can't take them back because no one seems to include reciepts!) I cant answer this one because my shower is tomorrow!!! (im so excited)

If you have pets, how have they reacted to all of the new baby stuff around the house, and how did they react when baby came home? No pets for me

Good luck with everything. Also the book What to expect when your expecting is a great referance guide, i dont know what id do without it, i plan on bringing it with to the hospital.

One good thing for me, if I should get a lot of the same stuff, I know a TON of other women having babies right now, so I could always "re-gift" lol.

Re-gifting is a great idea! I know three other women who are having baby girls too right now. I actually just got home from one of their showers.

Well - most of the questions I don't have answers for -

But - I just had an amnio and the fluid was nearly the color of Mountain Dew. It was a bright bright yellow - and the doctor said that it was normal. I bet that it would only gain more color towards the end - so yeah - I bet you'd notice if your water broke in the shower.

As for the bringing home outfit - I brought my first baby home in a pretty dress with lots of lace. What a mistake. This one I will bring home in a onsie or a nightgown. My daughter got a rash from the lace on her dress, and promptly threw up all over it. I will go with something soft and natural this time for sure.

While I was in labor before - I don't remember what I did to pass the time. I think I watched TV and talked with my husband. This time I will watch some DVD's and maybe play a bit of my husbands PSP.

I haven't gotten any gifts this time yet - but last time I got LOTS of fancy dresses. Those were a waste. I exchanged what I could for layette stuff.

Good luck!

I never thought about that! Now I definately think I'm going to use a simple onesie or layette set. Thanks!
