I seriously didn't think it would bother me, but I am seriously jealous. LOL. At least, I'm counting down the days now.

Aww. That's totally understandable.

My husband and I are getting a free photo shoot done on the beach by an 8th & I photographer who worked for several Marine publications. He can actually take decent photos so I'm excited. It might be a tad bit awkward though because this guy remembers my husband from 8th & I but my husband has no clue who he is, lol.

But hey... Free photo shoot!

(FYI, he is doing several free shoots for Marine families in the Lejeune area. I know some of you ladies are in Jacksonville so if you're interested in a photo shoot you can message me and I'll direct you towards this photographer. The sooner the better though because he is only doing a few.)

Also, some women are suing in CA. Like really? They just announced they are going to allow women in infantry in 2015 or something like that. Impatinet

Are the physical tests to be infantry any more stringent than other MOSes?

Marines let women in and I don't think a single one has passed the course, yet.

I got in a huge debate over it with a bunch of guys.

thanks. with him and my hubby always on the move, I have seen him 4 times since we moved to our first duty station (2006). each time was for a few days (usually over funerals) and then he was gone again. and my SIL is the worst military wife I have ever known. she refuses to tell us anything, says its top secret (then we log onto emarine and find it) and she never stays there when he is on deployment. so he comes home and no one is there to greet him.

Do you prefer living on or off base? & how long does it typically take to get base housing?
