So my husband is deploying soon for a year. My cousin is married to a guy in the navy and she told my mother that the military will allow a family member to come live with you while your spouse is deployed. Is this true? I have never heard of this before but my cousin says they do it...

Like on base? Yeah, housing will approve that...they wont pay you extra money or anything like that though. You'll have to register them so they can have day passes and privileges aboard base and stuff like that.

At least in the af, house guests staying longer than 30 days are subject to approval.

Oh awesome. My sister is more than likely gonna move down here with me when he deploys that way I am not alone for a year. I still don't know like anyone down here and we have been here for almost 2 years. Will they approve us a bigger house or will we just have to stay in the one we are in now?

She's not a dependent...so you won't be getting a bigger house.
