Checked her? Like a physical exam? If there was no penetration or direct touching they wouldn't be able to tell anyways. I might have missed this but how old is she?

She lives with her parents. Her parents are great. But they both work so my "BILs" mom was watching her since she was born, MOST days out of the week. I graduated in May and told my sister I wanted to spend more time with her.

The dumb bitch, excuse my language, brought some hoodlum she met online in Pennsylvania to live with her in her apartment. He is an alcoholic. I looked up his record. Its a mile long, just in MO. He has lived in about 6 states so I am really scared to look up the rest. Once I looked it up, I told my sister I would set the bitches apartment complex on fire before my niece goes back there.

Her grandmother also smoked around her. My niece has RSV which is awful. And smoking around a baby ANY WAY is bad! My niece ALSO has eczema so her skin itches and gets the little red rashes. Ever since she left there it cleaned up.

My sister is the one who took her. So I have no idea how they checked her, I will ask her later whenever she is off work.

Well usually when they check little kids, they look at the vagina and see if there is any rips or tears. Which there should be since she is so young. And I *think* they do rape kit on them. I'm not entirely sure though.

Good. I shake when I think about it. I just wish she was a little older so she could answer questions.   We will never know and thats what drives me insane. I know she was neglected. A couple weeks ago I went to go look at the apartments her other grandmother lives in because my SO and I were looking around. When I pulled in the parking lot, she pulled out with her windows rolled all the way up smoking... And I didn't spot my niece in there, so I am worried that they left her there by herself.   I just don't know. There is too much.

I'm pretty sure your GYN can tell if you've had sex or not. No matter the age. So I would imagine they would be able to tell fairly easy on a baby.

Yes. The lady has two other children who are quite younger then my "BIL." So their father has done and called DFS on her. She was actually investigated for letting her ex husbands daughter (which is not hers, lol, confusing, I know!) get packages from some asshole she met off the internet. He was in his 40's sending this 15 year old girl porn, drugs and sex toys.... And much much more. So now the grandmother is being investigated by the police also. Errr.

Flinching, fear when disciplined (even with just a firm talking to), social anxiety, anti-social behavior, being physical with other children, changes in appetite.

Have you checked for bruising?

No they don't do a rape kit unless the police are called and they have reason to believe the abuse just occurred. They probably just did an external exam..

It is very hard for police and child protective investigators to interview a child that young. In fact, their testimony can't even be used in court until they are 4.. unless they are a very well spoken and articulate 3 year old.

Absolutely. I am very conscious about it too. She has eczema, so from a distance it looks like light bruises. So I have to rub it to see if it is like a rash...which usually it is. So I'm not sure. I just don't get what she did to deserve this.
