Eye Floaters

Hi all. I'm new to the site and new to pregnancy. I am 12 weeks  I've been a bit worried. I have had eye floaters since I was a kid but since being pregnant have noticed more of them. My doc says not to worry.... and I've read that some floaters are actually caused by protein bits due to pregnancy. Does anyone know if they go away after the baby is born??

I have floaters and they are just bits in your vitreous fluid of the eyes. they never go away but are worse at times than others- more noticable in the sunlight.

I have no idea, but my eye floaters have gotten worse with pregnancy too. I've just learned to ignore them. I don't really see them anymore unless I pay attention.

everything that has to do with your eyes gets worse when your pregnant, my prescription for contacts went way up when i got pregnant and then when i had my son i had sevre migranes and i realized its because my eye sight went back to normal

They are extremely bothersome. Shortly before I found out I was pregnancy I noticed a few new ones that freaked me out. I was just beginning to accept them the last week or so when just overnight I noticed 2 new ones that tend to float right through my center vision. So very distracting

I have them too. They look like little black fruit flys. But I only see them under certian light. I was wondering if it was wierd or not lol

Ugh, I have these too. I just talked to my OB about it. She said that unless they get super bad and in the way to just ignore them and they will most likely go away after the kiddo comes. She also said that my eye sight change is something I should not get new glasses for until after. Good luck 

My eye doc said that if they just hang/stay there instead of floating by then you have the beginings of an eye problem.

I hate mine!! Sometimes I think it's a fly!!! lol But mostly I have a group that will go by and they are all black and sometimes shiney. Ugh

I did have some floaters earlier and they were so annoying! I don't usually get them, but everything else changes during pregnancy, why not that? lol I know my eyesight turns to crap when I'm pregnant too. Luckily, the floaters have gone somewhere unnoticeable for the time being at least.
