You plant a tree on top of it...it's (the tree) supposed to parallel the growth of the child (the placenta). And a girl said previously on this thread that in Native American culture, it's symbolic of giving back to the Earth.

This makes me think of Sonic. When I worked there, they told us we could make a slushie out of anything you could fit in a cup.

I used to joke I would cut up a coney dog weiner and add it to slush base and ice and mix up a hot dog slushie.

I told my boyfriend I wanted to eat mine (I don't, I was gauging his reaction...).

He promised to stand over the placenta until it was in a the biohazardous waste bag or whatever and barricade me from it.

LOL. I can't imagine what he would have said if i told him I wanted him to eat it.
