Refusing her antibiotic.

Kiley will not take it. I have to hold her down and practically force it down her throat. She used to love getting medicine, she would cry when I put it away. Now...

Can you dilute an antibiotic in juice? Or is there something else I can do?

She needs to take this and I can't keep having her miss half of each dose because she spits it on the floor.

i seen this despensing bottle at walmart you put your favorite drink in it an they drink the medicine in the juice or milk or their favorite drink I dont see why not mix it with something just make sure its not counter acting it

You can drink juice straight after, so I don't see why mixing it would be a problem.. I would only put the anitbiotic in a small amount of juice, because you don't want her to refuse the rest of the juice because she will miss out on the antibiotic again  

How old is she? I know this is a silly way of doing it, but it has worked with my son sense he was 3. He picks a number then we both count together untill we reach that number then he takes his medicine. lol

Now Gavins only 5 1/2 months and its a different liquid, but when he gets his ear infections, they tell me its okay to mix it in his formula b/c he refuses it and spits it out. not sure if that helps any! lol

Just mix it with juice. but only an oz or two to make sure she drinks it all.
it will still do its job.
when i was a kid and wouldnt take medicince (pill form) my mom used to crush it on a spoon and put some kool-aid on the spoon too lol worked like a charm.

The juice worked!   She took it!
