hemmoroids? TMI

okay, so im wondering if any other mommies on here have gotten hemmoroids while they were pregnant? just recently i have had a really really reallybad case of diarrhea, and afterwords i noticed around my bum was very sensitive and it hurt, then i was shaving the next day (with a mirror of course haha) and i noticed a swollen bump down there by my bum hole. it looked very red and swollen and it was very sore, i believe i heard that hemmoroids are common during pregnancy?? does anybody know if this is true, and if you think that is what the bump is? i want to get some oppinions before i freak out and make a doctors appt. and if it does sound like hemmoroids do you know if they go away or if they are treatable, because there are days where it hurts to walk!! but it usually doesn't bother me. im just curious. oppions and such would be greatly greatly appreciated!! thanks ladies  

I have em but they told me it was from me "straining" too hard when i poop haha lol. They don't hurt or irritate me, my bum just looks a little swollen when i push i guess.

Yeah I get them... but I dont get them from "straining" when I poop because (tmi) my stools are relatively soft and often diareah while pregnant. I get them from the pressure of baby on my intestines. But mine dont hurt just sometimes itchy. Very common during pregnancy though.

ETA: Theyare just varicose veins around your butt, that are a bit swollen. Bleeding and pain is common with them.

I had them with my second and was told the only cure was to deliver the baby...which is what happened. Haven't had a problem since   But they hurt me soooo bad! I guess you could say they were a pain in the....bum hahahaha- sry had to

ok so i shouldn't worry and freak out? yeah it gets pretty itchy sometimes, my mom gave me some preparation h(however you spell it) lol and she told me to put it on whenever it hurts or its itchy and ohh boy its a GOD SEND! so i take it they dont go away??  

They might not until after you have the baby   sry. But they should go away afterwards! Try taking sitz baths too (when you just sit in a few inches of warm water to SOAK lol) and yes, that Prep H is heavenly isnt it??haha

I'd also watch your diet in case theres things that might trigger them...I hear spicy foods and alcohol (not that ur drinking any at this point) cause flare ups. And make sure you dont linger on the toilet or strain

hmmm i dont eat spicy foods, and i dont drink, but i have to admit i do sudoku puzzles on the toilet   im guilty!! lol
