No more cereal?

I have a friend that has a 9 mos old, she said her daughter stopped eating cereal months ago.
As a new mom, I don't know when babies stop eating cereal, do you stop when they are on table food and finger foods?
When is it okay to stop feeding them cereal? My son is 10 mos... he doesn't eat it every morning for breakfast.

cereal is just there to get them used to the idea of eating, basically.
its not like... ever so important for them to have.
when they eat other foods.. if you dont wanan give cereal.. you dont ahve to.

My son is 6 months old (next week) and we basically skipped cereal. He had oatmeal for like 2 weeks but just didn't like it at all so I stopped trying to force feed him. Now he is on Stage 1 fruits and veggies and some Stage 2's

Landon just had cereal when I was out of babyfood.

Yep, Day eats whatever i eat, with the exception of his juice and snacks. I stopped giving him cereal when he started to eat mashed foods. i would give it to him here and there.
so, i can stop with the cereal. good. he doesn't really like it anyway...! (i guessed he gets enough nutriets from everything else he eats, he doesn't even need cereal nutrients.)
