re: Late January/Early Febuary Mama's 2010

i got mine yesterday and im glad i did. I have researched it for a while, and decided it was for the best for me and my family. I believe the reward is greater than the risk. I believe the risks involved to me and the baby are no greater than the regular flu shot, but i believe the risks of not getting the shot are far worse. I have asthma, a heart condition, and i catch EVERYTHING. I would hate to get h1n1 and pass it to my 10 month old, or cause something happening to my baby. That is just my personal opinion for my personal family. I believe the decisions that other people make regarding the vaccine is completely up to them and would never judge someone or think anything one way or the other regardless.

Yup, I agree it's a very personal decision. I also suffer from asthma and have a normal flu jab every year (which i will go ahead with as normal). It's such a tricky decision, but thanks for your post.  

I got the regular flu shot, but am skeptical about the h1n1 shot, there isn't any long term research on it yet, so I am nervous.

Our street is having it's annual block party today, which is great b/c I don't take Laila trick or treating but I did make her a little costume b/c we had some fall parties to attend.

Flu shots- I do not get either of them. I have never been sick in my life not even a common cold. So I didn't feel compelled to get it this year. I did get the seasonal flu shot for Laila b/c we attend a lot of playdates and kids don't watch their hands the way adults do (should) and she is at the age where she will put any and everything into her mouth. I was torn about the H1N1 shot for a while but after discussing it at length with her pedi we decided against it. I feel confident in my decision.

hey everybody. so we finally made it to my home, that i havent been at in over 6 months!! well anyways, we flew in on saturday, and bryleigh trickor treated with our family!! yay!! the next morning bryleigh woke up with a fever of 102.4... we immediately took her to the hospital where her fever had gone up to over 103 in a matter of about 20 minutes. I got vaccinated on thursday, and on sunday my daughter has H1N1... With all the medicine she is on, tamiflu, motrin and tylenol, her fever is still staying around 102. it goes down for about 2 hours after we give her motrin but goes right back up rapidly. if its staying like this tomorrow too we are taking her back in..   my poor baby

well this time change is making me more sleepy. I fell asleep during my lunchbreak today. I noticed more and more contractions too. Im going to bring it up to my dr wednesday

good morning ladies! we flew back home last night, so we are finally back at our house. i hadnt been to virginia (my hometown) in over 6 months, and was really looking forward to that trip.. but the baby got sick and it was miserable for her, so it ended up being miserable for us too.   so im very glad to be home, and i can tell she is happy to be somewhere familiar too! I was just laying in bed thinking how i wwill be 30 weeks pregnant in a little over a week! this pregnancy is flying by!!!

I had a dr. appointment last week and I'm measuring a week ahead and I was told that this pain I'm having is from the way he is sitting. He's just being a brat. I haven't gotten a call back about the glucose test so I'm taking that as a good sign because I took it last Friday. At my next appointment, I get to enter into a contest for a belly cast. I wish I could've gotten one of my daughter too. I got a 3d/4d done on Monday and I got a whole bunch of pictures on a c.d., a dvd of the whole thing, and they printed out all the pictures, or at least most of them, and put them in an album. The one that the lady didn't print out but she thankfully put on the c.d. was the picture of him giving us the finger. It was hilarious! He mostly had his hands in front of his face and didn't want us to see him, but we still got a lot of really cute pictures and a really good picture of his privates. It made my husband smile so big! lol men anyway, here's one of the pictures, it was towards the end and he was yawning, it was soo cute!

I am beyond tired these days and she is such a wild baby in the womb...lol she moves non stop! I am also having bh, I think. But I am just counting down the days until she is here. We are being very lazy this time, we haven't painted her room yet   My family will be here for Christmas so I plan to get them to help me knock it out in a day or so!

kmg i know how u feel, i have been really lazy buying things and getting the nursery together. Im suppose to go bedding shopping this weekend
