I'm sitting here crying my eyes out..I never thought I would get this much support from strangers. it's hard enough to get any from my family. they tell me to just forget about it..it's easy for them to say but you can't do that when you were the victium.I really appriciate the kind words you ladies are saying. thank you.

Have you talked to someone professionally? I'm sorry that your family isnt more supportive.. you deserve all the support you need

i had an abortion at 9 weeks about a year ago and there isn't a day that goes by that i don't think about it. Randomly either I or my SO will just break down and start crying about it.
so I know a little bit about how you feel and how it is so hard to get over something like that.

Oh hon, that's aweful. Especially given your situation. I wish they were more supportive about it. I wish I could give you a huge hug right now. I'm glad you talked about your story. I know talking helps alot sometimes. There are many women on here that will be so supportive and listen anytime. I know I am one of them.

Have you ever talked to a professional? Or maybe gone to a rape survivors group or something like that? I'd bet you could really benefit from talking to other women that have gone through simular things.

I talked to a counselor for 6 months from CASA. she would come to my school every Tuesday and we would have a 1 hour session. I always talked about other things besides the rape..I haven't talked to anyone professional for 4 years..I've always thought about suicide but I can never find the strength to take my own life.

I know that no one can relate to what you're going through, unless they've been in your exact situation, but I am very sorry that you had to go through something so horrible. Nobody should ever have to be put through such an awful experience and I admire your courage. I know it must not be easy coming to a public forum, where you know no one, and sharing your story. I won't tell you to "give it time" or that it will get easier, because obviously you've given it time. I will tell you that if you ever need someone to talk to you can PM me. I may not be able to relate, but I'm always able to listen.
