vaccinations.

posted 27th May
My daughter has her two-month well baby appointment on June 2nd, and I have no idea what to do about vaccinations. I'm torn between the two.. do I give her the vaccines that I've read cause brain damage and/or death... or do I not give them to her and take the chance of her getting these diseases and them possibly causing brain damage and/or death. I just feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Theres just soo much contradicting information, you've got the non-vaccinators saying its all a government conspiracy, and the vaccinating parents saying that the non-vaccinators are making it all up. I just really don't know what to do at this point.. How did you decide what was right for your children?

I looked between the pros/cons of both options and chose what I felt had the least risks.

Just ignore opinions and go with the facts and your gut.

Good luck  .

Do as much research as possible. I chose not to give any vaccines. My son is breast fed and gets all of my immunities. Plus, I really dont think his little body needs all of the toxins that are in the vaccines. Like I said, read up on as much info that you can.

It always comes down to how many children die from the diseases that they get from not getting their shots all the shots that they get are necessary

Both my 8 year old & 8 month old were vaccinated on time, and will continue to get any vaccinations they need. Alot of the diseases that the vaccines prevent against cause death, so I chose the benefits over the risks. Some people say that the chance of getting diseases such as measles, mumps & all the rest are slim, but the more people that choose not to vaccinate are making the chance higher & higher. I am glad my kids are protected.

My suggestion would be to AT LEAST delay and separate shots. The idea of pumping several diseases in dead form into a little body just makes me insane. I PERSONALLY do not vaccinate. I feel it is a decision to be made with my sons input as it is his life being risked in either direction. I always said I would rather have my son live a short life to it's fullest than a long life riddled with obstacles. I would definitely suggest you hold off at the very least and only allow one shot at a visit.

I just posted this yesterday... bad things DO happen from vaccinations, just as they could without them. Double ended sword I guess,

i kind of feel the same way. i feel like i would rather my child have a short happy healthy life. than a long hard struggle as a retarded child, and ive seen how hard it is, my sister in law has like three syndromes. ugh. its just so hard.. i really just want to do the right thing for her.

Personally, I would rather raise a child with autism, than have my child die. IDK what I would do if I ever lost my children- makes me sad to even think about it.

I vaccinate by son. I hear all these bad thing between not doing it and doing it. I just can't tell if what Im doing is right or what Im doing is wrong. I guess since I was vaccinated that is why Im getting my son done.

I can tell you I hate when he gets shots it breaks my heart. But then again if he died from an illness that could have been prevented I don't know if I would ever make it back from that.

Matthew gets his 4 months shots tomorrow.

I completely agree. I delay and choose just a few shots at a time.
Do as much research as you can and make the best, well-informed decision that you can.
Always consider the source of the information that you are considering and where their best interests lie. Good luck in your decision, it's very difficult with all the conflicting info out there.

yeah but some of the shots i was reading about have a high risk of death as well. one of them was 2 of 20.. so then its like, well should i just ask them to take those ones out.. and the whooping cough on a government site says under the side effects.. if your child shows signs of brain damage within 7 days dont get the second round... and that definately scares me. because it was the third thing listed so it must be pretty common..

I know how you feel...I could not stand watching my baby get her 2months shot...I had my husband go in w/her and I stayed outside her room....It crushed me hearing her cry but just as soon as she was done i emediately went to her rescue and consoled her. I think it was the hardest decision in my life soo far... people may think its a simple thing to go through but its NOT...if you are not ready hold off on them till you are. Good luck!
